Doula Work

As a certified full-spectrum doula and narrative medicine practitioner, my work is rooted in creating community spaces for women and birthing people that honor lived experience, cultural heritage, and spiritual alignment. As a mother two years postpartum, my own journey deepens my capacity for transformative care, cultural humility, and community-based support. I center the body and story as sacred sites of love, loss, and healing.

I am certified by the Birthworkers of Color Collective and trained in trauma-informed and culturally relevant care.  My practice also incorporates herbalism and ancestral foods as pathways to reconnect with embodied wisdom and lineage-based healing. I offer support during pregnancy and the postpartum period, regardless of perinatal outcomes. I view birthwork as a fundamental human right, and I believe that every person deserves the freedom to express themselves narratively and somatically throughout their reproductive journey.

Birthwrite is our current initiative, designed to provide space for narrative and somatic expression through movement, self-exploration, and creativity. What began as an embodied lived experience of me navigating my own pregnancy and postpartum journey has become something much larger than myself. During my Narrative Medicine masters program at Columbia University, my research on the relationship between narrative, the body, and ancestral memory began. I was inspired by Resmaa Menakem's Somatic Abolitionism, an embodied anti-racist practice focused on healing racialized trauma its physical and emotional effects on the body. The Birthwrite curriculum has been developed through evidence-based research, theoretical framework, and indigenous wisdom pedagogies. But most importantly, it was crafted with love and spirit led and I can't wait to share space with you!
